When you have a big party to plan you don’t always remember to get everything you need. One of the things that people forget the most is ice. Ice is expensive, awkward to carry, and it seems like there is never enough. But very few people enjoy warm drinks so ice is just one of those things that you have to have when you’re planning a party. You don’t really need ice to keep your beer cold though. Keg coats also have handy zippers that make it easy to get the keg coat on and off the keg and high density nylon straps that you can use as handles to move the keg when it needs to be moved around. The entire keg coat is made of heavy nylon canvas with double sewn seams so that the seams won’t give out at stress points like where the handles are.

Keg coats are a very economical way to keep your beer cold. Most keg coats cost less than 100$ and last for years because of the materials they are made from and how well made they are. So if you need a way to keep your kegs cold for a party like an outdoor party or a beach party where there won’t be a store around to buy ice if you run out and you definitely don’t want to have warm beer then you should take the plunge and buy a keg coat. Put the keg coat on your keg on your way to the beach and the beer will stay cold for the entire day and into the night. Your guests will definitely appreciate being able to have a cold beer right up until the end of the party. And if you’re planning a tailgate party a keg coat is perfect because you definitely won’t have time to drive around looking for ice. You can have cold beer from the beginning of the tailgating until the end of the game using a high quality keg coat.

Don’t Forget to Get Keg Couplers

When you’re getting a few kegs of beer for a graduation party, wedding, birthday party, the big game, or any other event don’t forget to get keg couplers too. Keg couplers are the tools that are used to get the beer out of the keg, so if you forget to bring home keg couplers then no one is getting any beer and you will not be the most popular person at the party. You also need to make sure that you get the right kind of keg coupler because are several different types of keg couplers and you don’t want to get the wrong one. Chances are good that the keg coupler you will need the most is the US Sankey keg coupler. This coupler works on more than 90% of domestic US beers and is by far the most popular keg coupler. If you’re going to keep only keg coupler in the house it should be this one, unless you don’t drink domestic beer. If you’re not a fan of domestic beer and you prefer imported European beers then you might need a German keg coupler that is made to fit most of the different brands of German beers or a European Sankey keg coupler which fits more than 90% of the European beers that aren’t German. If you have a home bar then you should take the plunge and invest in one of each of the main types of beer coupler. You will probably want to have a nice beer selection on hand for your friends and family so it’s better to be safe than sorry and stock your home bar with a few different keg couplers right from the start. That way you will never get stuck with a keg of beer that you want to drink but can’t because you can’t get into it. Since keg couplers aren’t terribly expensive but are nice to have they make wonderful gifts. It would be a good idea to put a few couplers on your holiday wish list for next year.

A lot of people don’t think about cleaning out their home bars on a regular basis but it’s very important to make sure that everything it thoroughly cleaned out. The taps, the faucets, the hoses, even the clamps and other hardware should be scrubbed regularly. When you clean out your beer taps using beer line cleaner you should disassemble the entire tap setup and clean each piece individually. Don’t use a substitute cleaner when you clean out your beer taps. Use only beer line cleaner that is specially formulated for cleaning taps. You might be tempted to use some cleaner that you already have lying around the house but in order to make sure that your beer lines stay safe and sanitary you should only use beer line cleaner.
